Meet Some of Our Associates…

Laurie Raphael

Interior Designer/Stager/Stylist

“I have come to appreciate the difference between interior design and staging work. Staging requires an aesthetic which must resonate with a broad target market versus an individual. It’s also a major sprint versus a more leisurely long distance run.”

With 14 years interior design experience, and photo styling for companies such as Macy’s, Jonathon Adler, Ethan Allen, Kravet, Laurie adds a keen design aesthetic to AKA staging projects. Her extensive luxury brand PR experience is key when working with the many luxury properties that AKA stages.   Laurie holds a Master’s Degree in Art and Design. www.laurieraphaeldesign.com

LeRoy Henderson,

Stager/Art Consultant/Photographer

“Art is a universal language that serves to engage buyers in any property, as well as elevate the perceived value of that property.”

As art consultant as well as stager for AKA, LeRoy understands the role of art in emotionally connecting buyers to any property. LeRoy holds an MFA from Pratt Institute, and his art is represented by June Kelly Gallery in Soho. His custom work is often featured in AKA staged properties.  www.leroyhenderson.com

Anna Preston,

Landscaper

“Plants and flowers add ‘life’ to any property. This is especially valuable when a property is for sale.   Bringing nature into our homes is a powerful means of reducing the stress of urban living.”

With over a decade of landscape designing experience in NYC, Anna is AKA’s “go to” landscaper for the many patios and terraces that are often part of staging projects.  Anna and her team also provide the weekly maintenance which keeps all the outdoor and indoor plant installations fresh for buyer showings.
